Stewardship

Stewardship Committee @ St. E's

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10.

Parish Stewardship enables and encourages parishioners to take part in the ministry of the church by sharing their gifts of time, talent and treasure.

By developing a system of volunteerism within the parish, it calls on parishioners to contribute to the mission and vision of the church.

Stewardship assists in coordinating plans for the current and future parish development and strives to improve communication and dialogue among the parishioners and the parish.

The mission is carried out through three primary stewardship programs:

Stewardship of Time: Through prayer & reflection...

Time means many things to people, but for those who pray on a regular basis it means a greater sense of serenity and a fuller appreciation for the gift of life. A fulfilling prayer life, steeped in a sense of gratitude for all that we are and have, can be a beautiful model for your family, friends, the community, our church and yourself. There are many opportunities for personal and community prayer at St. Elizabeth’s.  Stewardship of Time prayer suggestion cards may be found at the back of the church.

Stewardship of Talent: By volunteering in ministry work...

If you would like to be more involved in ministry work here at St. Elizabeth’s, please fill out the Stewardship Ministry Interest Card available at the back of the church; indicating the areas of ministry and service where you would like to participate. Your involvement in the ministries of our community really makes a difference and will enrich your spiritual life.

Stewardship of Treasure: With the generous sharing of our resources...

Each fall, parishioners are provided the opportunity to make a financial commitment for the coming year through St. Elizabeth’s Annual Pledge Drive. Our commitment to the financial support of St. Elizabeth’s is an acknowledgment that all we have is a gift from God, and we are choosing to honor God by returning to God the first and best of what we have received. For more information contact our Stewardship Coordinator or pick up a pledge card from the church.

Our Stewardship Mission:

The Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth of Hungary is committed to stewardship as a way of life and spiritual growth.  We believe in the need to give versus giving to a need.  We encourage time for prayer, worship, and inspiration to return God’s gifts, freely given to us, of our time, talents and treasure.  Through prayer, discovery and action we will enable our parish community to grow in faith, discipleship and service.

Committee Duties:

Help is needed year-round for this vital committee. The committee generally meets once a month to organize and coordinate the following annual activities:

  • Fall Pledge Drive
  • Spring Ministry Fair
  • Monthly Ministry Awareness & Appreciation Masses
  • Resource Development
